Rev. Kang graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. In 1987, he graduated from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) with a Masters in Divinity. In 2002, he completed his doctoral degree in Ministry from TEDS. . He served as a pastor of the English Ministry at Hebron Presbyterian Church from1988 to 1997.
While attending University of Illinois, he co-founded and was one of the original members of Alpha Omega gospel band. He served as the director of Chicago High School OIL for 12 years. He is married to Liz and has a wonderful daughter, Stephanie. His passion is to see irreligious people become fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. Rev. Nick Kim studied biology at the University of Illinois (at Chicago) in order to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a dentist. However, God had other plans for him. Nick became saved and God gave him the dream and passion to reach people for Christ. While pursuing a Master of Divinity at Trinity Divinity School he served as a youth pastor at several Korean churches. Upon graduation he continued to serve as a youth pastor and worked as a consultant for the Chicago Metro Baptist Association and LifeWay Christian Resources.
In 2000 God gave Pastor Nick a vision to plant Living Grace, a Korean American church, and in 2011 God brought Evergreen Community and Living Grace together as one church. Pastor Nick joined with Pastor Steve in order to reach the unsaved and unchurched. He is married to his wife Ji Yoon and together they have an energetic daughter, Rachel. Jae Lim has been at Evergreen since 2000. He now serves as the Children's Ministry Director and assists Pastor Kang administratively.
Jae graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in Physics and studied Educational Ministries at Trinity and has served in various capacities at Korean churches in the Chicagoland area, usually as a youth or children's pastor. Violet Kim studied accounting at the University of Illinois (at Chicago). After working in various jobs, God gave her vision of serving God fulltime. She currently attends the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary of the Midwest.
